Description

Excerpt: Scenarios are not prediction, projection, forecasting, impact assessment or dialogue, instead scenarios stimulate creative ways of thinking or visioning that help stakeholders break out of established patterns of assessing situations and planning actions so that they can better adapt to the future.

This presentation covers the types of scenario methods, how “future visioning” scenarios are used, the basic elements of scenario building. The SANREM-Andes future visioning project, as well as the Goals and description of the research site are covered. Future visioning methodology and the scientific model of land-use change are described.

Also available as a conference paper.
