Description

This chapter describes the relationship between the biological sciences and social sciences in development work. It is argued that despite conceptions of agriculture as a technical field, social research is vital to translate scientific progress to good development practice. This is highlighted through the specific experience of the SANREM project under the management of the University of Georgia.
