AquaFish CRSP featured in USAID’s Global Waters magazine
USAID’s quarterly magazine on its water programs, Global Waters, recently featured the AquaFish CRSP’s work to increase the income of fish farmers and meet the protein needs of people in developing countries through an ecosystem- oriented approach that promotes sustainable management practices. The article highlights AquaFish work in Nicaragua where the CRSP established a training center. The center provides information to producers about best practices for handling cockles, helping to increase incomes and improve the quality and safety of this important source of protein for local communities.
