World Food Center Established at UC Davis
The University of California, Davis (UC Davis) recently established a World Food Center to sustainably address global food and health issues. In an announcement about the establishment of the center Chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi said the center will collaborate with faculty in UC Davis’s schools and colleges of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, Medicine, as well as Social Sciences, Engineering, and Management and other universities and research centers in the U.S. and around the world. Through  interdisciplinary collaboration the center seeks to generate knowledge and provide practical policy solutions to benefit people around the world. The food center is funded by private and corporate donations.
