BIFAD Review of the CRSP Model Released

A report commissioned by The Board for International Food and Agricultural Development (BIFAD) at the request of USAID reviewing the Collaborative Research Support Program (CRSP) model was recently released. The study focused on four key areas including CRSP engagement with the U.S. University community, strengthening human and institutional capacity development, alignment with Feed the Future and developing country priorities, and how to advance strategies to improve the coordination of CRSPs, other USAID-supported and university programs with the broader U.S. university research agenda and other national, regional and global initiatives in research and education.

The CRSP review team included Dr. Robert J. Jones, University of Minnesota (Team Leader);  Dr. Karen Brown, University of Minnesota; Dr. Derek Byerlee, Independent Researcher, Former World Bank; Dr. Carol Kramer-LeBlanc, Independent Consultant, Former U.S. Department of Agriculture; Dr. David Sammons, University of Florida International Center; and Dr. Barbara Stoeker, Oklahoma University.
