A panel of six leading agricultural research scientists and practitioners have been commissioned by BIFAD, with support from USAID, to review the CRSP research and education models over the next few months. The objective of the review is to learn from the experiences and characteristics of the CRSPs to develop recommendations to USAID for engaging the US university community in agriculture and food security-related research and capacity building in the future. The team will be led by Robert J. Jones (U Minnesota) and includes David Sammons (U Florida), Barbara Stoecker (Oklahoma State U), Karen Brown (U Minnesota), Carol Kramer-LeBlanc (Independent, former USDA), and Derek Byerlee (Independent, former World Bank).
