Postdoctoral fellowship: Maternal and infant nutrition

Posted by | 07.17.2012

Description: Immediate opening is available for a postdoctoral fellow to work with our Nutrition Innovation Collaboration with Wyeth Nutritionals/Pfizer focused on healthy development in the first 1000 days of life. As part of this collaboration, we will work to identify the critical nutrition needs of mothers and their infants in the first 1000 days of life and evaluate the evidence base required to inform care strategies and interventions to optimize infant health at each stage of development. Specifically, the postdoctoral fellow will work with UNC faculty to explore current issues in nutritional health care for mothers and children through on-going research, literature reviews and scientific workshops designed to define the “state of the art” and knowledge gaps in the key nutrition topics chosen for focus.

Requirements: Ph.D. in nutrition or maternal and child health with a nutrition focus. Global experience preferred.
