Virginia Tech, Assistant Professor Position – Food Policy

The Department of Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise (HNFE)at Virginia Tech is seeking candidates for a new 9-month tenure-track faculty appointment in food policy with research and teaching responsibilities at the level of Assistant Professor.  They are seeking an outstanding individual, who specializes in applied policy related to nutrition, food security, and/or food systems. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct strategic research to inform the formulation, implementation, and/or evaluation of public policies to promote healthy eating and/or food security. The candidate will also be expected to teach, advise undergraduate and graduate students, and participate in service and outreach activities. Multi-disciplinary collaborations exist within HNFE, across the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and the university.
