About
A unique partnership between U.S. universities, developing country institutions, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Feed the Future Innovation Labs for Collaborative Research and Collaborative Research Support Programs (CRSPs) address issues of hunger and poverty through science and technology. The Innovation Labs and CRSPs are funded through support from USAID, U.S. Universities and participating institutions. The Innovation Labs and CRSPs receive core funding from the Bureau for Food Security of USAID. Many Innovation Labs and CRSPs also receive buy-ins from USAID Missions and other bureaus or offices within the Agency. Additional support is provided by the U.S. and host country participating institutions through cash and in-kind contributions to the programs. These matching and leveraged funds range from 20% to over 100% of USAID support, making the Innovation Labs and CRSPs an extremely cost-effective mechanism for international research and development.
