The Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Collaborative Research on Peanut and Mycotoxin applies leading innovative U.S. science to improve peanut production and use, raise nutrition awareness, and increase food safety in developing countries. The Peanut & Mycotoxin Innovation Lab research focuses on peanut production, mycotoxin management, seed production, post-harvest handling and processing, market opportunities, gender, and instructional workshops and training. Cross-cutting areas such as gender equality, impacts of climate change, capacity building, and human nutrition and  health feature prominently in all research.

The Peanut and Mycotoxin Innovation Lab currently works in Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Sub-Saharan Africa in twelve countries including: Burkina Faso, Ghana, Haiti, India, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Uganda and Zambia.

The Innovation Lab is managed by the University of Georgia and collaborates with  U.S. Universities including North Carolina State University, Mississippi State University, University of Florida,  Virginia Tech, and Washington University, St. Louis.
