Overview
This project provided post conference support to edit and publish proceedings from IPM’s conference in Kampala, Uganda September 8 – 12, 2002and promote regionalization. Researchers also developed a survey instrument and sampling frame and conducted a survey of extension agents and the National Agricultural Advisory Service (NAADS) service providers.
Objectives
1. Provide post conference support to edit and publish proceedings and promote regionalization. 2. Develop a survey instrument and sampling frame and conduct survey of extension agents and NAADS service providers.
Outcomes
The proceedings of Integrated Pest Management Conference were produced and distributed. Four fact sheets were produced on Striga Management, Northern Maize Leaf Blight, IPM, and Aflatoxins. A survey instrument for assessing Extension and National Agricultural Advisory Service (NAADS) providers was developed and was administered. The proceedings were distributed to the 190 conference attendees from 20 different Sub-Saharan countries promoting not only regionalization but also dissemination of IPM research results.
