Abstract: Twenty four promising peanut lines developed at the Institute of Plant Breeding (IPB) at UPLB and a seedboard variety (UPL Pn 8) were evaluated in General yield trials at three testing sites during the 1990-1991 dry cropping season (November to February). A randomized complete block design was used to determine the variability of yield when grown simultaneously accross three locations. These were grown at Northern Luzon (Ilagan, Isabela), Southern Tagalog (Los Banos, Laguna) and Southern Mindanao (Kabacan, North Cotabato) [Philippines]. Highly significant differences were obtained at specific locations. The top three peanut lines at Los Banos, Laguna were IPB Pn 85 3-86, IPB Pn 85 10-68 and IPB Pn 85 7-50 with seed yields of 2.85, 2.57 and 2.50 tons/ha, respectively. At Ilagan Experiment Station in Isabela, the top three yielding entries were IPB Pn 85 2-30, IPB Pn 85 10-68 and IPB Pn 85 14-60 with corresponding seed yield 3.18, 3.15 and 3.04 tons/ha, respectively. Three promising lines were identified at Kabacan, North Cotabato namely IPB Pn 85 5-82, IPB Pn 85 7-50 and IPB Pn 85 9-10 with seeds yield of 2.98, 2.91, and 2.77 tons/ha, respectively. IPB Pn 85 10-68 was high yielding both at Laguna and Isabela. The other promising lines were high yielding only when grown at a specific location
