Overview
This project sought to better understand the biology of interaction between the Striga and the host improve Striga resistance in sorghum.
Objectives
The overall objectives of this research have been tot elucidate the biological interactions between Striga and its hosts, and to devise control strategies based on host resistance emphasizing the vital roles of the multiple signals exchanged between the parasite and its host, which coordinate their life cycles.
