Abstract: Natural occurrence of hexaploid loach Misgurnus anguillicaudatus detected in central China is reported here for the first time. The evidence from karyotyping, DNA Content analysis and nuclear volume measurements were described to confirm the hexaploid nature of the indentified individual.
