The purpose of this presentation was to give a history and current status of soil conservation and conservation agriculture. It discusses soil quality indicators and gave recommendations for policies and practices, including adoption of conservation agriculture production systems that can help conserve soil and maintain agricultural productivity, especially on degraded farmland.
