Overview
This project includes research activities in nine research sites in the Philippines and Indonesia. In the Philippines, research focuses on IPM for tomato and eggplant in Batangas Province and rice/vegetable systems on Mindanao. In Indonesia, research on vegetable IPM is centered in North Sumatra, North Sulawesi, and West Java. Cocoa IPM is studied in South Sulawesi. Rice/vegetable system work is being carried out in Lampung Province.
Objectives
To develop a specialized, ecologically based IPM research program focused on priority pest constraints of selected higher value marketed horticultural crops.
