Abstract: Plasma sex steroid concentrations, onset of gonadal maturation, and hepatic microsomal UDP-glucuronyltransferase (UDPGT) activities were followed under natural temperature and photoperiod in outdoor tanks, and under controlled laboratory temperature and photoperiod regimens in common carp (Cyprinus carpio).
