Overview

Researchers from the US, Kyrgyzstan, and South Africa studied the institutional and financial barriers faced by the rural poor land owners in Kyrgyzstan and South Africa. Team members met with stakeholders to discuss equity-sharing schemes on state-owned farms. Researchers used case studies of equity-sharing schemes to analyze and identify ”best institutional practices.”
