Description

This Powerpoint presentation discusses how studying networks can contribute to an advanced understanding of social learning and adaptive management for technology adoption in the developing world. Through summarizing a traditional model of innovation through the scientific process and demonstrating how knowledge networks are constructed to foster social learning, the presentation shows how the technology transfer paradigm has evolved in recent decades. Historical examples, such as the green revolution and the use of farmer field schools are used to illustrate this process of change.
