Description

The objectives of Mexico’s PSAH program is to stop the deforestation that threatens those forests critical for watershed-related environmental services in Mexico. This program pays land owners to preserve forest land and prevent its transformation for other uses, such as agriculture and cattle raising. The program is also expected to set the stage for the development of local PES programs. This presentation describes the structure and operation of the PSAH program.
