Overview

The goal of this activity is to disseminate key information relating to IPM for green bean production. Six villages in 2000/2001, 13 villages in 2001 / 2002 and 21 in 2002 / 2003 (Koren, Sanambele,Dialakoroba, Dafara, Dienfing, Tamala, Niazana, Dama, Kola, Marako, Freitoumou, Solon Korin,

Pango, Bougoula Faladie, Biron, Safe Koro, Bassa, Karak o, Tadiana and Kondialan) have been participating in Farmer Field Schools (FFS). Over 350 women and 300 men have directly participated, and numerous non-participants in each village have benefited from these lessons. The learning approach in the FFS is a participatory learning process. The

Farmer Field School allows farmers to learn about field ecology by means of regular observations and analysis of field conditions leading to the adoption of new technologies. The process emphasizes making decisions and

taking actions based on group discussion and analysis.
