Description

Video. International Sorghum, Millet and other Grains Collaborative Research Support Program (INTSORMIL CRSP) Transfer of Sorghum and Millet Production, Processing and Marketing Technologies in Mali; funded by USAID.

In Mali there are two major types of sorghum production; rainfed and decrue. “Decrue,” “recession” or “post rainy season” sorghum is grown in many locations in the Sahel and refers to sorghum planted in the moist areas along river or lake edges after the floods have receded. The crop receives no further moisture except what is already in the soil.
